Way up
As climbing the Spitzstein one way takes only one and a half hour, we started at a very relaxed time from the small town of Sachrang. Weather conditions: perfect. On the way up even warm enough for a T-shirt.

What a view! Just a little too many people for my taste – but who can blame them?
Way down
There are no ski slopes or lifts around – but the Spitzstein is a popular destination for winter hikers and ski mountaineers. So two huts are open all year round to offer some great Knödels :)
